How LumenChat works

LumenChat is a place to share AI conversations, prompts that worked, and full coding-agent sessions — without leaking the things people keep accidentally leaking.

What happens when you publish

1. You paste a chat or drop an export file. It is parsed in your browser.
2. A scanner looks for API keys, private keys, tokens, passwords, connection strings, emails, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs, national IDs, public IPs and your home-folder username. Secrets are always replaced with placeholders like [API_KEY_1]; personal data is replaced by default, but you can keep any item.
3. Only the cleaned text is uploaded. The server runs the same secret scan again as a safety net.
4. You get a link plus a private delete link. Sign in (email, no password) if you want posts on a profile, likes and comments.

Why we built it

In 2025 thousands of “shared” ChatGPT, Grok and Meta AI conversations ended up in public search results — with names, addresses and medical questions in them. Sharing AI chats is useful; sharing them unsafely is not. LumenChat is the safe default.
